How mobile are you?

Studies continue to confirm that an increasing amount of consumers access social media via a smart phone or mobile device.  So, how mobile are you?

Here are some things to consider as you develop your marketing strategy for 2013.

1.  Do you have a mobile website?  If not, have you tried to visit your own website via a mobile or smart phone?  See how easy it is to navigate your menus and access information.  This will determine if you need a mobile site or not.  I’m in favor, and have a great web architecture group I work with, StudioSR.

2.  What is a mobile app?  Do you need one?  My opinion is “no” if you are a small business.  Mobile websites still feed to search engines, and have tons of other benefits.  Ask us for more details if you are considering if a mobile app is right for you.

social-media23.  Do you use social media?  Ie. Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and the new kid on the block … Pinterest  Having your business profiles on the various social networks will keep your products or services present where consumers are.  Use these tools to build relationships and repor with your customers, and to grow your customer base.
